Art Exhibition: Friends of Elementary Arts Celebrates Student Artists & Local Mentor Artists

Each year the Friends of Elementary Art’s Board of Directors organizes an auction event dedicated to financing our endowment, which directly benefits arts and music education programs in the Alachua County School District. Every year, our community wholeheartedly embraces this cause by generously contributing time and funds at the GFAA Gallery, and each year, we are so grateful for your consistent support.

14th Annual Musical Chairs: Friends of Elementary Arts Celebrates Children 🖼️

In lieu of the annual Musical Chairs art auction, FEA is collaborating with the GFAA Gallery to sponsor an art show for your elementary students. This upcoming 14th Annual Musical Chairs Event: Celebrates Children will feature pieces and works created by students from elementary art schools from around the county.

In partnership with the GFAA Gallery, art teachers will submit a piece of original artwork from a student in their class. We will then display all the works together for an art show that will be a part of an opening reception during Art Walk, January 27, 2023. This show also celebrates GFAA’s 100th anniversary as an organization!

Welcome back, Fans & Friends, to the 13th Annual Musical Chairs Event!

We’re back again, Friends!

Just like last year, we’re allowing everyone, from anywhere, to attend and be a part of this wonderful cause in a manner that fits their current comfort level.

Beginning January 28, 2022, you can attend the Musical Chairs Fundraiser:

  1. Virtually: With the support of BetterUnite, we will be hosting our silent auction through their online platform. You will be able to follow auctions, bid and pay all online, from the comfort of your home.

  2. In-person: A major thank you to our Friends at the GFAA Gallery for allowing viewing options for those who would like to stop by and see the artwork in person. Appointments can be made and are highly encouraged — call 352-328-5027 or email info@gainesvillefinearts.org to schedule.

On February 4, 2022 the 13th Annual Musical Chairs Reception will take place at the GFAA Gallery from 6-8:30 pm. We hope you can come and celebrate these amazing artists!

12th Annual Musical Chairs Fundraiser

Welcome back, Fans & Friends, to the 12th Annual Musical Chairs Event!

Like so many things this past year, our annual fundraiser will look a little different this year due to the pandemic.

We can’t wait for the time when we can all gather together again and raise the roof (and funds!) for our children’s elementary arts and music programs at the GFAA Gallery.

But until then, we’ve redesigned our event to allow everyone, from anywhere, to attend and be a part of this wonderful cause in a manner that fits their current comfort level.
